We often see a lack of inspiring dance opportunities for young people who wish to continue dancing in a community beyond primary school. To support both creative communities and talent development in dance, Tiny Dancer collaborates with municipalities and organizations to create dance projects tailored for young dancers.
A Dance Community for Young People
At Tiny Dancer, we create dance communities for young people who want to come together, dance, and take part in developing performances. These are artistic spaces where technique, creativity, and choreography come together to inspire and challenge.
This initiative connects young dancers with professional artists, introducing them to new dance techniques and fostering their creativity through movement and choreography.
Participants will explore contemporary dance techniques, including floorwork, partnering, and release technique, while being introduced to new tools for creating and performing stage art. As part of the project, the dancers will develop and present a performance, taking an active role in choreographic decision-making and stage presence.
This year’s project theme, “The Dark Side of the Loop”, delves into subconscious thoughts and shadows, exploring dreams and the mysteries of sleep.
Throughout the project, young dancers will work with professional artists from different disciplines:
